Privacy policy

How SkyParlour collects, uses and protects personal information, and the rights you have over it. Last updated August 2026.

Who we are

Sky Parlour Limited (company number 07009362, registered in England and Wales) is a communications agency for the financial services sector, based at Linley House, Dickinson Street, Manchester M1 4LF, United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, contact us at hello@skyparlour.com or on +44 (0) 330 043 1315. SkyParlour is the data controller for the information described here.

The information we collect

When you contact us: your name, email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. This is sent to our team inboxes so we can reply.

When you subscribe to Parlour News: your email address, used only to send you the newsletter. Every edition carries a one-click unsubscribe.

When you browse the site: nothing, unless you accept analytics. If you do, Google Analytics records anonymised information about how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive. If you decline, no analytics run. See the cookie policy for the detail.

Our own counting: whether or not you accept analytics, the site keeps a simple tally of which pages are read, which site sent the visit, the country it came from and whether it was a phone or a desktop. It uses no cookies, stores no IP address and holds nothing that identifies you; it cannot tell one visitor from another.

How we use it and why we're allowed to

We use contact details to answer enquiries and carry on the conversations you start with us (our legitimate interest in running the business). We send Parlour News because you asked for it (consent, withdrawable any time via the unsubscribe link). We use analytics only with your consent, to understand what on the site is useful.

Who we share it with

Nobody, for marketing. We never sell personal information. The services that process data on our behalf are our email and website hosting providers and, where you have consented, Google Analytics. Each processes data under contract and only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation, and the business relationship it may lead to, stays live. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for [retention period to confirm; default 14 months] and holds no directly identifying information.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to hello@skyparlour.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date. This policy applies to skyparlour.com; other sites we link to have their own policies.
